The cursor keeps skipping backwards and if I'm not watching, "thtext becomes completely garblede" - wasn't too bad there, in that last sentence you can see what happens if I don't move the cursor forward. Sometimes it even skips upward into the middle of a previous sentence. It's been slowing me down considerably. I tried changing the settings numerous times&i just updated your app, but nothing has helped. Do you have any advice for me? Didn't want to have to change keyboards again.

Hello there, we're sorry for the trouble you've encountered. Please proceed to clear cache for SwiftKey: Go to your device settings, then Apps, SwiftKey, tap Storage, and tap ‘Clear cache’. Then, reinstall the SwiftKey app and restart your device. Also, please remember to enable the Backup option to sync your data. We appreciate your support.

Gboard (Google's keyboard app) made their layout completely unusable about 3 months ago. I used SwiftKey about 6 or 7 years ago and remembered it being a good experience, so I gave it another try. I dislike third-party keyboard apps for security reasons, but I trust Microsoft. SwiftKey has tons of QoL options to set to your preference. I like it being adjustable and resizable, and dragging to type... Something I think I recall from way back, that became a Gboard feature that I used extensively.

Update May 2024. No better. Not bad overall because it can memorize small phrases but word prediction spotty. Gboard seems a little better at predictions but not good at memorizing phrases. Now includes access to Bing AI right in the keyboard, haven't had a chance to try that out much yet. Also word predictions are pushed in too fast and as a lot of them are inaccurate maybe input should be slowed down a little. Same with the glide capability, it's too easy to initiate by accident.
